TimeLife Textbook Redesign: Evolution
This redesign of the 1962 TimeLife textbook Evolution reimagines its focus on nature’s transformation—exploring the evolution of plants, food, and animals while steering away from overdone and contentious topics like human evolution. Inspired by the theme of evolution itself, the book’s design features a gradual color progression from cover to cover, symbolizing continuous change. A moon icon, representing cyclical transformation, serves as the centerpiece of the visual identity. The project culminated in a professionally printed and photographed physical copy, celebrating both the legacy of the TimeLife series and a fresh, modern perspective.
